When storms and rains stop for a moment and the sun shyly comes out from behind the clouds, you should go for a walk without a delay. It is not known when the next such opportunity will come. I wanted to stop by the charming pier in Grodem a long time ago. From there, you can observe ships, motorboats and fishing boats passing through the fjord (Byfjorden). Byfjorden is 10 km long and starts at the Tungenes lighthouse (see outdoor cooking - couscous salad) and ends at the port of Stavanger. From the pier, you can also see the nearby islands and in the distance the snow-capped peaks of the mountains. There I decided to prepare and eat my lunch.
