This year, I will serve camp bread on the Easter table. It go well with any dish and it can be quickly fried and served while still warm. They also worked outdoors, I absolutely wanted to test it in "cowboy" conditions. For this test, I chose Fjøløy Island with a beautiful lighthouse. I lit my fire there:)
Ingredients:
- 1 cup od flour
- 1/4 tsp of baking powder
- 1/4 tsp of salt
- 1/2 tsp of oregano
- ok. 75 ml water (it can be warm)
- olive oil/coconut oil
tomato salsa:
- 10 cherry tomatoes
- 1/2 red onion
- salt, pepper, oregano
- olive oil
Instructions:
- Put flour, baking powder, salt and oregano to a bowl. Stir.
- Add water and knead a dough (if it is too dry, add some water).
- Divide the dough in half and form two flat bread.
- Fry in the olive oil/coconut oil until bread is golden-browned.
- Meanwhile, prepare the salsa.
- Cut tomatoes and onions finely.
- Add spices, olive oil and mix.
- Serve camp bread with tomato salsa.
